Heart of the Khumbu

Tasha Delek everyone,

We have all arrived to Namche Bazaar after a warm day of trekking. All is well with the team and we will spend 2 nights here at 10,000 feet for rest and acclimatizing.

Namche is a center for Sherpa culture and one of the oldest mountain trading villages in Asia.

Yesterday at Phakding we were treated to meeting 30 of the young Sherpa girls being supported and educated by Empower Nepali Girls. One of our climbers Sara Safari, has been part of this California organization for the last 1.5 years, raising money by climbing with Alpine Ascents. Awesome stuff!

We are blessed to be here at the Panorama Lodge in the good care of Sherup Sherpa.
